Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information RM Crawfish Routes ("RM Routes," "we," "us") collects through rmroutes.com, our signup forms, text messages and orders, and how we use and protect it. Questions? Call or text (205) 441-3248 or email dylan@rmroutes.com.

What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, mobile number, nearest stop or town, order details (products, pickup day and stop, and the name of anyone picking up for you), and anything you send us in messages, requests or wholesale inquiries.
Payment information: our payment processors (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay and others shown at checkout) handle card payments. We never see or store your full card number.
Usage information: like most websites, we and Shopify automatically collect device, browser, IP address and page-visit data through cookies and similar tools. See Shopify's cookie details at shopify.com/legal/cookies.

How we use it

To take, prepare and hand off your order at the right stop, and to text you pickup updates and delivery-day reminders.
To run your account, which you sign in to with a one-time code sent to your email.
To send the weekly crawfish report, price and stop updates and offers by email or text, if you opted in.
To plan routes and stops, for example by seeing how many customers are near each stop.
To answer questions, handle refunds and guarantee claims, prevent fraud and meet legal requirements.

Text messages and your mobile number

We send texts only to numbers that gave us consent, and marketing texts only to people who opted in to them. Message frequency varies, usually about one marketing message a week plus texts about your orders. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers that deliver our messages for us (such as Twilio and Shopify), who may use it only for that purpose. Automated order and pickup texts come from (205) 635-4286.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:

With service providers that help run the business: Shopify (store, checkout and email tools), Twilio (text message delivery), payment processors, and analytics and website tools. They may use it only to provide those services.
With anyone you ask us to share it with, such as the person picking up your order.
When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
With a new owner if the business is sold or reorganized. This policy would still apply to your information.

Our site may use advertising or analytics tools, such as Shopify or Meta tools, that collect browsing data through cookies. You can block cookies in your browser. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.

Your choices

Email: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
Text: reply STOP to any message.
Your information: ask us to see, correct or delete it by emailing dylan@rmroutes.com or texting (205) 441-3248. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, including the right to appeal our decision. We won't treat you differently for using them. We may need to verify your identity first.

Even after you opt out of marketing, we may still send messages about orders you've placed.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it to serve you, keep business and tax records, settle disputes and follow the law. Then we delete it or make it anonymous.

Security

We use Shopify's secure platform and limit who can access customer information. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information, such as card numbers, by text or email.

Children

Our site and services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we'll tell you on the site or by email.
